In the course of the review referred to in paragraph 2, the Commission shall categorise, where appropriate, the priority substances into one or more of the following categories: priority hazardous substances; substances behaving like ubiquitous persistent bioaccumulative and toxic substances (uPBTs); substances that tend to accumulate in sediment or in biota, or in both.
