Article 3

DIRECTIVE 2008/50/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 21 May 2008 on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe · European Union

Member States shall designate at the appropriate levels the competent authorities and bodies responsible for the following: assessment of ambient air quality; approval of measurement systems (methods, equipment, networks and laboratories); ensuring the accuracy of measurements; analysis of assessment methods; coordination on their territory if Community-wide quality assurance programmes are being organised by the Commission; cooperation with the other Member States and the Commission. Where relevant, the competent authorities and bodies shall comply with Section C of Annex I.
