DIRECTIVE 2010/75/EU OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 24 November 2010 on industrial emissions (integrated pollution prevention and control) (Recast) (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

Member States shall ensure that the penalties established pursuant to this Article give due regard to the following, as applicable: the nature, gravity, and extent of the infringement; the population or the environment affected by the infringement, bearing in mind the impact of the infringement on the objective of achieving a high level of protection of human health and the environment; the repetitive or one-off character of the infringement.
