Recital 32

CCD2

(32) Consumers should be protected against unfair or misleading practices, in particular with respect to the information provided by the creditor or credit intermediary, in line with Directive 2005/29/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (8). That Directive continues to apply to credit agreements and works as a ‘safety net’ ensuring that a high common level of consumer protection against unfair commercial practices can be maintained in all sectors, including by complementing other Union law.
