1. Without prejudice to the general obligations provided for in Article 11 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, providers of online marketplaces shall designate a single point of contact allowing for direct communication, by electronic means, with Member States’ market surveillance authorities in relation to product safety issues, in particular for the purpose of notifying orders issued pursuant to paragraph 4 of this Article. Providers of online marketplaces shall register with the Safety Gate Portal and shall indicate on the Safety Gate Portal the information concerning their single contact point.
