(12) Decision No 768/2008/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (4) lays down common principles and reference provisions intended to apply in all sectoral product legislation. In order to ensure consistency with that Decision, certain provisions of this Directive, in particular the definitions, should be aligned therewith.
