(47) When calculating the own funds requirements for operational risk, insurance policies might in the future be allowed to be used as an effective risk mitigation technique. To that end, EBA should report to the Commission on whether it is appropriate to recognise insurance policies as an effective risk mitigation technique and on the conditions, criteria and the standard formula to be used in such cases.
